The Great Hall: Part 5
THE BIG REVEAL!
I wanted the Great Hall to be something really special. I wanted it to be the best work that I'd done for this party. The feast was authentic Hogwarts food prepared by my two house elves, including butterbeer, pumpkin juice, pumpkin pasties, and more! Most of the recipes came from Britta's website.
So with the stone gossamer, curtains, banners, and all the homemade decorations up and all the students sorted into their houses, we tucked into a pretty decent feast. The Great Hall has taken on a few different forms with each party that I've thrown, but I believe that it has remained the crowning jewel every time.

ReplyDeleteHow did you manage the floating candles? I've been looking all over the internet for ideas on how to do it!
ReplyDeleteI bought a bunch of battery operated Christmas candelabras, used fishing line or clear thread tied around the "flame" and thumbtacked them to the ceiling.
